Developing Work

This image tells us a thousand words.  There are positive words in the background, which surrounds the woman. Her pose suggests that she is proud and confident. Her outfit shows she is a Muslim. The words also suggests she is a follower of the faith and is portraying the religion in a positive way as opposed to how the media portrays it. This image is energetic and sturdy. Why did I use the black scarf and top? It’s because the colour of black is doesn’t mean it’s a bad colour. Every different colour is good. What if she wears red? I know red means it’s a warning or danger so if a women wears red scarf, it doesn’t mean she is dangerous. She wears natural makeup because it’s simple which shows us she has pure beauty.

This woman is wearing heavy cultural  jewellery ontop of her scarf. The scarf is very funky with bright colours splashed on it. It shows that Muslims can be fun and fashionable. My aim was to try and show that Islam is a peaceful religion.

However, I think I achieved this but trying to show an element of peace within the image is missing. For the improvements, I will try to make the images look more peaceful and calm.

I really love this image because it has very bright colours and her eyes are very bold. I also find this image fun and interesting. The lady looks approachable because of her funky printed scarf.

                                                               

This image shows us that two muslim girls are having fun and a laugh which shows the audience that Islam is a fun religion; not how the media portrays them as terrorists. This image is simple, and shows that they are comfortable, confident and happy. Sometimes people think that black resembles bad luck or a serious and dangerous or dull colour. In actual fact wearing black doesn't mean this at all in Islam.  Its to try and stop people getting attention and show that their simple. Therefore muslim women may opt to wear black so that it does not draw attention to themselves. Just as in the western society black is worn to interviews it shows, confidence and that their professional within the working industry.

 I love this image because I like  the way the girl on the left of the image  is wearing a stripy scarf on her head.  The girl standing opposite her is wearing a scarf with the mosque pattern  embroidered on it. I find this image cool and but some people may find this associated with terrorism because of the colours and designs on the head scarfs.

 I find this image too serious and it doesn't look really fun or peaceful. It's looks like they being Arabian. When people see Arabian, they always think they are bad people. But truly they are good people. That's just how they wear dress.

I really like this image because the Muslim girl is reading the Qur'an which shows the audience Muslims read holy book and trying to find peace.

This image shows us that the muslim girl is trying to pray harder because I can see her face is serious and she wants people to stop thinking Muslim is a bad religion. If she is being bad, don't blame her religion, blame her personality. For the improvements, I will crop the image at the side of the image because as we can see the backdrop shadows.
